KOHPA® Technology: The efficient solution for heating buildings and integrating heating functions into industrial products.

In principle, a building requires as much heating energy as it loses through the building envelope. This applies regardless of the type of heating or energy source. However, the efficiency of the entire system is crucial.

Although a heat pump consumes less electricity than KOHPA® therm, the total costs (energy consumption, purchase and maintenance) over the average service life show that the costs of the heat pump are ultimately higher than the total costs of KOHPA® therm over the same period. If you also take into account the carbon footprint that is generated during the production and disposal of all components of conventional heating systems, it becomes clear that KOHPA® therm is a sustainable and cost-effective alternative.

KOHPA® therm is based on infrared heat, which is directly available almost without loss and without any detours. An aviation company has calculated an efficiency of over 99.5 % for KOHPA® – a clear advantage. Large surfaces such as walls and ceilings are heated with low surface temperatures, which ensures a uniform, dust-free room climate. The infrared radiation primarily heats building components, furniture and our bodies, similar to solar heat.

Many studies have shown the benefits of infrared heatings, which, however, work with smaller surfaces and higher temperatures. With KOHPA® therm, however, the room temperature can be lowered by 2-3°C without affecting the feeling of warmth. Every 1°C reduction in room temperature has been physically proven to reduce energy consumption by around 6%, which in this case corresponds to a saving of 12 -18%.

Our own projects have even shown energy savings of more than 25 %. The actual savings depend heavily on the building's insulation - the worse the insulation, the higher the savings in direct comparison with the previous heating system.

FAQ

KOHPA® Technology is an innovative heating solution based on conductive carbon fiber paper. KOHPA® therm offers a sustainable, flexible, and energy-efficient way to heat spaces, using infrared heating that evenly warms surfaces and objects, not just air.

KOHPA® therm can be used in a variety of spaces, from residential and commercial buildings to industrial applications. It is versatile and can be adapted to different environments, e.g. the aviation and lightweight construction industries.

KOHPA® therm emits infrared heat, which directly warms surfaces like walls, floors, and ceilings. The technology is based on electrically conductive carbon fiber paper, converting low-voltage power into heat with high efficiency and minimal energy loss.

Unlike traditional heating systems that warm the air through radiators or underfloor systems, KOHPA® therm uses infrared heating, which is more efficient as it directly warms surfaces and objects. This leads to less energy waste and a more comfortable indoor climate.

KOHPA® therm can save 12 18% energy compared to conventional heating systems. Thanks to the efficient infrared heat distribution, it enables lower room temperatures with a pleasant feeling of warmth at the same time.

No, KOHPA® therm is a maintenance-free heating solution. The system ensures longevity and efficiency without the need for regular maintenance, making KOHPA® therm a cost-effective and problem-free option in the long term.

Yes, KOHPA® therm can be easily integrated into existing buildings without the need for major renovation work. The system can be installed on walls and ceilings (e.g. plastered in) and can even be paired with solar panel systems or other renewable energy sources.

Yes, KOHPA® therm can be combined with renewable energy systems such as solar panels or hydrogen storage. This makes it an ideal solution for those looking to further enhance their energy savings and sustainability.

Yes, KOHPA® therm consists of 99% recyclable materials and is completely plastic free. Thanks to its energy efficiency, durability and the use of environmentally friendly materials, it helps to reduce the CO2 footprint and is therefore a sustainable alternative to conventional heating systems.

Absolutely. KOHPA® therm has been tested by german TÜV and meets all the necessary safety standards for the construction and aviation industries. KOHPA® therm is operated with low voltage and is therefore suitable for use in private households, offices and industry. Technically, there is no danger from electrosmog.
