Green technologies for a sustainable lifestyle

June 2021

During the Berlin Greentech Festival, from 16th to 18th of June 2021, everything revolves around the latest technologies to support a sustainable lifestyle.

At the trade fair, initiated by Formula One world champion Nico Rosberg, environmentally friendly and sustainable technologies, services and products are to be presented.

Renowned companies such as, AUDI, DEUTSCHE BAHN and VIESSMANN will exhibit new sustainable trends.  RESO Oberflächentechnik GmbH (surface technology), based in Bavaria, Germany, joins the list of well-known exhibitors and presents KOHPA® – a type of paper with electrical conductivity, based on a mixture of natural fibres and recycled carbon fibres.

KOHPA® offers sustainable solutions for the environment and technology and has been recognised by the European Union, known through the Green Materials Box 2020, as one of the top five most innovative materials in Europe.

KOHPA® is the world’s thinnest and lightest surface heating and offers countless uses as an emission-free, infrared heating element within the area of heat distribution. Due to its very minimal space requirement and good malleability, floors, ceilings and walls are just as easy to heat as well as areas that are difficult to access and within complex shapes – both in living areas and in vehicles. The trend of emission-free heating, via battery storage or in direct connection with fuel-cell technology, will open up interesting combination options with KOHPA®, for the future.

Additionally, KOHPA® is used to shield electronic devices or to protect humans and animals from electromagnetic fields in ecological building construction (e.g., 5G). Through this, protection efficiency of up to 99,5% is able to be achieved.

KOHPA® can also be used in lightweight construction, industrial surface finishing or electrical static distribution.
